Nicolas Merle holds more than 10+ years of professional experience obtained in the real estate, construction, government and development industries.

Before joining Future of Cities, Nicolas advised The Reliant Group, a San Francisco-based private equity fund with a national multifamily portfolio. In his asset management position, he oversaw a portfolio consisting of more than 8,000 units, made operational analysis improvements, asset performance management, and was the point of contact of all the different stakeholders.

Previously, Nicolas worked as an Asset Manager for a private equity fund based in Buenos Aires, where he managed the firm’s portfolio and real estate investments, was the Development Manager at the Government of the City of Buenos Aires where he re-urbanized marginal areas, developed the strategy to build and update 957 public schools.

Mr. Merle earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in architecture from the University of Buenos Aires, an MBA from IAE Business School, a Master’s degree in Finance from Universidad Catolica Argentina, and a Master’s degree in Real Estate Development from UC Berkeley.
