Construction / Project Manager PHX
JOB DESCRIPTION
An impact focused real estate developer with an extensive track-record adaptively repurposing commercial space and rejuvenating neighborhoods is looking for a dynamic, local construction manager to spearhead their 6 acre+ mixed-use redevelopment project in a unique Jacksonville neighborhood.
The project timeline is expected to be more than 10 years, with an initial 3 year intensive redevelopment program. It will entail a phased activation of artist space, attainable housing, a pop-up market, experiential food and retail concepts and will leverage a community-driven planning process.
KEY CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
- Background in real estate project management, ideally for mixed-use real estate
- Experience evaluating real estate project architectural and engineering plans
- Experience hiring and monitoring contractors, architects and other project consultants
- Experience with tenant management
- Knowledge of construction process, costing and budgeting
- Experience working with the local government to obtain permits and work through approval process
- Experience overseeing real estate general maintenance and utilities
- Enthusiastic, team-player, strong verbal and written communication ability
- Passion for Jacksonville and impact investing
ADDITIONAL UPSIDE QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with community outreach programs
- Experience using impact measurement standards across both environmental and social equity areas
- Passion for identifying innovative solutions to assist vulnerable neighbors and members of community
- Understanding of attainable housing strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, Civil Engineering or Architecture
- Mastery Project Management Software
- Minimum of three (3) years of work experience as project manager in mixed-use industry
- Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in the construction industry
- Strong Excel skills; experience with estimating software
- Self-starter and ability to stay on task
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skill
